WE MEET AT "CALVARY CHAPEL ORLANDO", 5015 Goddard Avenue, Orlando, FL 32804, on the 2nd Saturday of every month.
Networking starts at 9:30, members must register by 9:45 to be critiqued,
The general meeting starts promptly at 10.

(FCWC) The Florida Christian Writers Conference is held every year in October, right here in Florida. You will have large variety of classes to chose from, meet with editors, agents, and publishers, have one on one consultations, and enjoy meals with other writers! FCWC is a MUST to attend!

Currently Reach Orlando is scheduled for our meetings on October 11, 2025, December 13, 2025 (includes our Annual Christmas Party), and March 14, 2026 (includes our annual "Kingdom Creatives" Event, including author book signings, song writer presentations, author vendor tables, Art, jewelry, and The Florida Tapestry Awards Presentations.
MONTHLY MEETING SCHEDULE:
9:30 Networking Starts By 9:45 Members who want to be critiqued, MUST sign up or ask a friend to sign you up if you are running late.
10 am Our General Meeting starts.
10:30 Critiquing starts.
We generally finish up by 12:30.
Member Submission Requirements for critique pieces: (Bring 6 copies) Double spaced / New Times Roman / 12-point font / 1-inch margins / Numbered pages / Continuous line numbering / Word count top of page / 1500 word limit of continuous story OR up to (3) individual devotions or poems.
Musicians and Poetry Writers meet the 4th Saturday monthly at Reach Church (address 3580 Aloma Ave. #7, Winter Park, FL 32792) You do NOT need to be a musician or song writer to attend! Questions or for more info contact William Castaldi at wmcastaldimdivmsw@gmail.com
WRITING PROMPTS
We have launched a fun way to learn, hone, and grow in your craft! Write a 100-word piece based on a writing prompt. Bring it to our next meeting and we will read some of them! Upcoming prompts are below:
October- What questions would you ask the most interesting person you know or would like to meet?
November- You're antique shopping and find an old chest of drawers. Write about the owner. Did they sell it or give it away? Why?
December- Write about your day. If you could change one thing about it, what would it be?
January- Write 100 words on the first thing that comes to mind.

The mission of Word Weavers International is to help members find their unique voice, strive for the exceptional and not settle for the mundane, and to raise the quality of our members’ writing to a publishable level. We endeavor to fulfill our mission and vision by:
- Actively praying for one another’s successes
- Holding regularly-scheduled critique sessions
- Offering annual conferences for in-depth learning and networking
- Providing scholarship funds to conferences to our members
- Sharing information about writing opportunities, conferences, and contests through our newsletter, The Loom
- Offering smaller, genre-specific critique groups in addition to the general critique sessions when possible
- Helping connect members with editors, agents, and other publishing professionals
- Providing guest speakers at meetings, retreats, and workshops
